What is the average size of a man?

There are two main ways to measure a man's "average size": height and weight/build. Here's what we know about each:

  • Height: Globally, the average man's height is around 5 feet 7.5 inches (176 centimeters). However, this can vary depending on ethnicity, genetics, and nutrition. For instance, the average height for men in the Netherlands is nearly 6 feet tall, while some other countries may have a shorter average.
  • Weight/Build: Men have no "average" weight or build. It depends on height, frame size, and muscle mass. Body Mass Index (BMI) is a common metric used to assess weight relative to height, but it doesn't necessarily reflect body composition.
