Pi bonds are weaker than sigma bond why?

Sigma bond is a type of covalent bond which forms when two valence orbitals of two atoms overlap head-to-head along the co-linear axis while forming molecules. Pi bond forms when two valence orbitals of two atoms overlap sideways along the intermolecular axis while forming molecules.

The electron density is concentrated in sigma bond, which makes it stronger than Pi bond where electron density is less concentrated.
