Before starting to learn about the global village, it is necessary to learn about information and technology as it is considered as the spine of the global village.

Technology 

This current era is called the era of information technology. Again contribution of technology can be seen in every part of this era. Today's human civilization is mainly the history of technological development. 

Technology is the practical knowledge of the combined achievement of science and engineering. On the basis of human society, the definition of technology can be said as "Technology is some practical technique which man can use for his circumstantial development." Achieve knowledge about any machine and natural element and the power of using them efficiently is called technology. Every day we are using various technologies for making our life more comfortable.

Information Technology

The technology that collects information, integrates, validates, preserves, processes, modernizes, and manages information, is called Information Technology, in short, IT. In one word, the technology that is associated with the information system is called information technology. Computer-dependent information technologies elements are data, information, network media or communication media, procedure, etc.

Communication Technology

The process of transferring data from one place to another or one computer to another computer or one device to another device or transferring one's data is another person is called data communication. Therefore communication is a reliable process through which it is possible to transfer data from one place to another. The technology that is associated with a data communication system is called communication technology. The functioning of a data communication system depends on three characteristics. 
Namely:
Delivery: The system needs to deliver data to the correct receiver.
Accuracy: The system needs to deliver data correctly.
Timeliness: The system needs to deliver data within a fixed timeframe.
Communication is a process through which it is possible to perform reliable data transfer from one place to another.

Concept of Global Village

The term 'global village' means all parts of the world as they are being brought together by means of Internet and other electronic communication such as Skype allow us to communicate and connect with others,especially others in other countries, easier. The new reality of the digital age has implications for forming new socially meaningful structures within the context of culture. Interchanging messages, stories, opinions, posts, and videos through channels on telecommunication pathways can cause miscommunication, especially through different cultures. Contemporary analysts question the causes of changes in community.
