Why the flowers and fruits are coloured?

Due to chromoplast the flowers and fruits are colored. Though the chromoplasts are colored, they are not green. The phycoerythetic pigment xanthophylls, carotene, phycoerythrin, phycocyanin etc. are present in them, and so some of them are yellow, some others are blue and red. The flowers, leaves, and other parts of a plat assume their attractive colorful appearances from the mixture of those pigments.
