What are the differences between energy and power?

The capacity of doing work is energy. On the other hand, the amount of work done in unit time is known as power. Energy is determined by total work done. So there is no need of time in calculating energy. On the other hand, for calculating power there is no need of work done. Same amount of work, the one who does in less time, possesses more power. There are different forms of energy. Energy can be converted from one form to another; for the case of power, which generally doesn't happen, as there is no form of power.
