How can we reduce the system loss in the national grid?

System loss can be reduced by stepping up the voltage. If a constant amount of electric energy is transferred in high voltage configuration the less amount of current flows through the conductor. As a result, system loss is reduced. For example, if the voltage is increased ten times then the current flow decreases by one-tenth. As a result, the system loss goes down by ten percent. In this way, system loss can be reduced in the national grid.
