Why protoplasm is called the physical basis of life?
The semi-transparent, jelly-like, a semisolid substance in the cell is called protoplasm. It is called the physical basis of life because inside the cell wall of the living cell all the living substance is known as protoplasm. The property of life resulted from the distribution of molecules within this substance.
