Conditions of floatation and immersion of a body?
The conditions of the floating or sinking of an object are –
a) If W1>W2, or if the weight of the object is more than the liquid abstracted by the
object then the object will sink in the liquid.
b) If W1>W2, or if the weight of the object is equal to the liquid abstracted by the
object then the object will float in a completely submerged state.
c) If W1>W2, or if the weight of the object is less than the liquid
abstracted by the object then the object will float in a partially submerged
state.
