Why more energy is produced in aerobic respiraiton than anaerobic respiration?

Much less energy is released during anaerobic respiration than during aerobic respiration. This is because the breakdown of glucose is incomplete in anaerobic respiration due to the absence of O 2.

What is biological coin?

ATP is called the energy coin of the cell because it can store energy and can supply that energy upon cell's demand.

How chromosome plays role in sex determination?

Human body contains 22 pairs (total number 44) of autosomes and 1 pair (total number 2) of sex chromosome. The two sex chromosomes are marked with X and Y that play a significant role in determining sex. Female gametes contain two X chromosomes (XX) and male gamete contains one X and one Y chromosome (XY). An egg can be fertilized with either type X or Y. Therefore, a zygote can have both the chromosomes as type X, or can have one X and the other Y. XX and XY zygotes will be female and male respectively. In determining sex, a mother plays no role because the mother always produces eggs containing only an X chromosome. On the other hand, the father produces sperms having both the type X and Y.

What is diaphragm?

The Diaphragm is a muscular sheet, which separates the thoracic cavity from the abdominal cavity.

Explain why reduce the rate of photosyntehesis process at after the noon.

The process of photosynthesis occurs when green plants use the energy of light to convert carbon dioxide and water into carbohydrates. Light energy is absorbed by chlorophyll, which act as the site for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis rate is reduced after the noon as this process directly depends on the sun light for its light dependent phase.

What is photophosphorilation?

In the process of photosynthesis, the phosphorylation of ADP to form ATP using the energy of sunlight is called photophosphorylation.

Explain water play what type of role to complete the functional activities of internal organs in human body.

Body uses water in all its cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate its temperature and maintain other biological functions. There are three functions of water. Body formation Control of internal functions and Elimination of waste products.

What is dieback?

Dieback is a condition of woody plants in which peripheral parts are killed, either by pathogens, parasites or due to conditions like acid rain and drought.

Explain the role of respiration in growing of seedling to blooming of flower.

Role of respiration from growing seedling to blooming flowers: This statement explains the significance of respiration in plants, as they require energy to survive. When plants use sugars stored in their leaves or seeds they undergo cellular respiration. The cellular respiration harvests energy stored in a glucose molecule and releases the energy. During dormancy period of plant seeds, they need to use stored energy reserves and undergo cellular respiration, as there is no photosynthesis to cook their own food. The blooming flowers require to carry out their biological functions too. Therefore, it can be stated that respiration is important throughout the life cycle of a plant.

What is assimilatory power?

Assimilatory power is the power of plants in the form of ATP & NADPH to obtain food in the form of carbohydrates from the reduction of CO 2 during photosynthesis.

What is meant by energy coin?

Energy coin is meant by ATP. Because ATP contains energy in body and supply to various reactions according to importance.

What is the main source of energy?

The main source of energy is sun.

What is the role of light in respiration of plants?

For the respiration of plants light is not directly needed. But at day time taking of O 2 and releasing of CO 2 become easy as the pores of leaves are opened. So, this time the rate of respiration increases. Therefore at day time light has little role in respiration.

What is the suitable temperature for respiration?

The suitable temperature for respiration from 20° to 45° celcius.

Which gas is evolved in aerobic respiration?

Carbon-dioxide is evolved during aerobic respiration.

Why does animal kingdom is dependent on green plants for food?

In animal cell there is no chlorophyll as a result of which animals can not make its own food. On the other hand in plant cell there is chlorophyll as a result of which they can produce their own food through photosynthesis process. By the help of this food green plants continue its organic process and stores food in various parts which animals eat. For this reason animal kingdom is dependent on green plants for food.

What is leucoplast?

The plastids, which  are colourless, are called leucoplast and to store food is their function.

Why aquatic plants have a higher rate of photosyntheisis than the terrestrial plants?

Plants produce carbohydrates from water and CO 2 in presence of chlorophyll and sunlight through photosynthesis. CO 2 plays a very important role in this biological event. Rate of photosynthesis by plants is directly proportional to the amount of up taken CO 2 . The concentration of CO 2 is greater in water (0.03%) than the concentration in air (0.03%). Therefore a higher rate of photosynthesis is observed for aquatic plants.

What do you understand by biological currency?

Every organism undergoes bunches of physicochemical reactions in order to survive. There are some complex molecules present within the organisms, which can store energy and provide that when energy is demanded by organism itself. For example - ATP, GTP, NAD, NADP, FADH 2 etc. Usually ATP stores the highest amount of energy within it and serves the energy demands for other physicocheical reactions. As a result, ATP is widely known as biological currency.

What is respiration?

Generation of energy and CO 2 from the oxidation of foods in presence / absence of O 2 is known as respiration.
